Stockholm, Sweden: Sandvik Materials Technology has announced its intention to sell its welding and stainless wire operations to further consolidate its product portfolio and improve its long term performance.

Stockholm, Sweden: President of the business area Sandvik Machining Solutions Jonas Gustavsson has decided to leave the company. Mr Gustavsson will be taking on the position of president and chief executive officer of ÅF, an engineering and consulting company listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm.

Sandvik Coromant Singapore and Okuma held a joint seminar on the open possibilities for oil and gas and the aerospace industry.

The principal owners of Industrivärden, L E Lundbergföretagen and Handelsbanken, have announced that they do not find it suitable for Anders Nyrén to lead the board work of Industrivärden and have therefore withdrawn their previous recommendation to the Nominating Committee.
