The Primo system by Renishaw consists of a radio part setter and a radio 3D tool setter, enabling automated onmachine part setting, part inspection and tool setting. There is therefore no need for offline manual tool setting equipment.

The need for greater control in manufacturing processes drives Renishaw’s growth into new forays. Steve Bell, General Manager, Renishaw, ASEAN, spoke to APMEN and shared the company’s direction for the region.

Renishaw’s Void Scanner is a cavity monitoring system that is used in mining and civil engineering industries to produce accurate 3D laser scans of voids where access is limited, dangerous or prohibited.

Thorlabs, an optical equipment company, has chosen to equip Renishaw’s TONIC encoders with both its DDS600 600 mm long travel stage and the MLS203 microscope stage.
